XDegrees Announces Formation and $8MM First Round Funding
Another P2P company, this one with what looks like a good management team. I have no idea what they make at all!

12/23/00 update: metadata P2P, if that means anything to you.

02/13/00 update: it's a matter of allowing "all network resources to be more intelligently discovered, located, stored, ranked, directed and shared". They have a showcase demo that plugs into Outlook.

09/11/02 update: Microsoft buys security software company.
