Dave Winer replied me I was only seeing the tip of the iceberg. I'll take that teasing pun literally. Maybe it's more about 3D than I first thought... MappaMundi is not there anymore to give us some insight here, and Dave Winer seems voluntarily elusive till December on his (somehow related?) timeless blog project.

You can become a member at map.net, "You'll then be able to customize your Map.net interface with personal landmarks accessible from any browser, share information over the Web with your friends, participate in Internet chats, and more." Will it be linked to Manila sites or RU chat?

BTW, there's now a preemptively patented XYZ protocol!

I really don't know what to think of it. After all, it could be another too smart for its own good web visualization technique.
