Let's Put on a Show! How to Avoid the Looming PC Recession (thru eatonweb)
Robert X. Cringely thinks the PC industry faces serious problems because of bandwidth limitations. I couldn't agree more. It's always a wonder to me that people with RTC dial-up use the Internet at all. I got addicted to the web thanks to good bandwidth in the companies I worked for, and nobody could take my ADSL home connection from me.

Microsoft has been massively investing in cable providers for a good reason. Likewise, Intel has been putting some money on bandwidth-sucking services for several years.
