The explosion of choice
Red Herring's Rafe Needleman thinks weblogs are leading to news customization. I'm not sure the automated solutions he then points to are really competitive with human editors. For one, how do you train a machine to debunk PRBS? OK, I guess it's easy to tell a program to laugh at press releases from Oracle and a couple others. But take anything from Microsoft and IBM, and there's suddenly a world of "what ifs" that requires experience and intuition in order to find the proper context necessary to understanding (just see the recent reactions to Hailstorm).

Still, the Cybrant demo is interesting in an e-commerce scenario. Anything that enables useful web sales automation is good (ie. not "contact us to get a quote").
