More Jazz to Start the New Year

I've always liked the interaction between piano and bass on Ahmad Jamal's records, but I never investigated it further till today. In fact Jamal frequently worked with a bassist named James Cammack, and this live recording at the '85 Montreal Jazz Festival is a tremendous display of their interaction. I don't mean the drummer and percusionist aren't up to the task, but Jamal and Cammack are really a killer combo.

If you're into guitar, check out Transitions by Emily Remler, a talented musician who sadly died way too early. That I just discovered these two albums today is a testament to how much I have yet to learn.
