This cool Windows NLE now includes DVD authoring, and should be available in 4.0 final release later this quarter. Here's a list of new features, including faster DV rendering, ASIO support (low latency drivers for real sound cards), and application scripting (using the .Net framework.) There's native support for Contour's AVS ShuttlePRO, no mention of Tascam's US224/428 control surfaces though (these USB devices embed an ASIO sound card BTW). I just received my US-224 and I'd love to use it for video editing purposes.

Update: I emailed them to ask about control surface support, someone emailed back (within an hour, on a Sunday!) that there won't be any. Not the answer I wanted, but that's impressive responsiveness.
