Gary Price links to an article with a quite strong headline that shares some of the concerns I have about popular perception towards search engines such as Google, and he adds some useful comments about the diversity of sources you can query to get accurate information. Yes, it can be a waste of time to search for some things on Google, as opposed to specific online databases or even good old books.
